The battery segments are configured as 15 series and 8 parallel (15s8p), totaling 120 cells and providing 54VDC. They are constructed from fireproof and waterproof materials.

Formula Student Tractive System Active Light

The control circuit uses green and red lights to indicate voltage levels. It displays red if the voltage between the AIRs exceeds 60VDC, if the AIRs close, or if the precharge relay is closed, signaling that high voltage (HV) is active. Otherwise, it shows green.

Formula Student High Voltage Indicator

The control circuit indicates high voltage in the battery pack. If the voltage exceeds 60VDC, a red light will be displayed on the battery pack.

A DC-DC converter steps down 360VDC to 24VDC to supply energy for charging the low-voltage battery of the racing car.

Formula Student Electric Powertrain System

Picture1_edited.png

The electric powertrain system for the DMU Racing 2025 race car includes an inverter, motor, and high-voltage (HV) battery pack. These components are connected to a dynamometer (dyno) to optimize performance and ensure improvements in efficiency and output.

Multimeter
